The wonderful Time Jumpers have released another fantastic CD. This 14 tune CD again is filled with incredible music. It also in many ways pays tribute to long time member Dawn Sears, who we lost in December 2014. Two wonderful cuts were recorded prior to that date and feature Dawn on lead and harmony vocal.
The musicians (alphabetically) are Brad Albin- bass, Larry Franklin- fiddle, Paul Franklin- steel guitar, Vince Gill- electric guitar, lead and harmony vocals, Ranger Doug Green- archtop guitar and lead vocals, Andy Reiss- lead guitar, Dawn Sears- lead and harmony vocals, Kenny Sears- fiddle and lead vocals, Joe Spivey- fiddle and lead vocal, Jeff Taylor- accordion and harmony vocals and Billy Thomas- drums and lead vocal.
The album opens in a wonderful Swinging Texas mood with recently deceased Freddy Powers' My San Antonio Rose. There are many originals in this collection including Kenny Sears own Texas dance hall styled This Heartache, Ranger Doug Green's Texas dance hall styled Empty Rooms, Paul Franklin's instrumental All Aboard and seven from Vince Gill's pen. Vince wrote in full or in part, I Miss You, Table For Two, The True Love Meant for Me, Honky Tonkin' with Larry Franklin on vocal, Sweet Rowena, the very powerful Kid Sister and a western swing gem with huge hit potential, We're the Time Jumpers. There is also Billy Thomas doing vocal on, Blue Highway Blue, Cindy Walker's, I Hear You Talkin', and from the legendary Hank Penny, Bloodshot Eyes.
The CD can be found at or ordered from most on line or retail music establishments. It can also be ordered on line at their web site.
