Here is a brand new CD of 10 tunes by the young and very talented vocalist, Leddy Bragg. The executive producer and recording supervisor is none other than the legendary Dave Alexander. Dave also does the harmony vocals. The other musicians supporting Leddy include steel guitarist David Wright and lead guitarist Tommy Nash. Dale Morris Jr. plays fiddle, Nathan Phelps-bass, Pat Bubert- drums and Josh Hanlon on piano.
The album opens in the Texas Dance Hall mood with Harlan Howard's Heartaches By the Number, from the late and legendary Ray Price. There are also many memories from the library of the legendary Bob Wills. Two of the Wills classics were written by Cindy Walker, Sugar Moon and Bubbles in My Beer. Also from Wills are Faded Love, I Hear You Talkin' and My Window Faces the South. Other tunes that are included are Miles and Miles of Texas, originally from the 50's and brought back and popularized years later by Asleep at the Wheel. Leddy also remembers Gene Autry and so many others with Kennedy and Carr's South of the Border. Another Western Swing legend, Spade Cooley is remembered with Shame on You. The album closes with the inspirational classic, How Great Thou Art.
